New BMW 6-Series Cabriolet

So what if the Frankfurt Motor Show is only two weeks away; it’s never too early to jump ahead and preview a car that’s scheduled to make its debut at the Geneva Auto Show next March. At least that’s what BMW tuning company, Alpina, has decided to do with a preview of their new tuning program for the BMW 6-Series Convertible.

Called the ’B6 Bi-Turbo Cabrio’, Alpina has improved the luxury cabriolet’s performance capabilities by adding its own twin-turbo system - hence the name - and dialing up the 6-Series Convertible’s 4.4-liter V8 engine from the standard output of 400 horsepower and 450 lb/ft of torque all the way up to 500 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 516 lb/ft of torque between 3,000 and 4,750 rpm. The 25% increase in output allows the Alpina-tuned ’B6 Bi-Turbo Cabrio’ to hit 0-62 mph in just 4.8 seconds (up from 4.9) with a top speed hitting an impressive 193 mph, a stark improvement from the standard model’s electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.

We might have to wait a little while before the car makes its debut in Geneva next March, but at the very least, we’re getting a good idea on what Alpina has done to improve on the 6-Series Convertible’s already impressive performance capabilities.

New Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Now that Porsche has revealed the full line of specifications for the new generation 911 family, creative types are busying themselves with the different variations up the brand’s sleeve. We just revealed our thoughts on the next gen 911 Turbo and then we found PS-Garage’s take on the future GT3 RS.

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is the perfect sports car for those looking for true racetrack performance in a street car. The RS version will be the next logical step after the new 911 GT3 is revealed sometime in 2013, and while the new standard GT3 will deliver somewhere in the neighborhood of 480 HP, the RS version will be working with about an 20 HP. Unlike other 911 models, the GT3 RS will be offered exclusively with Porsche’s new seven-speed manual gearbox.

The new GT3 RS will bring in some of the usual upgrades such as an improved suspension, better aerodynamics, and an extra-large carbon-fiber rear wing serving as a reminder of its racing connections.

New Growler E 2011 a Respect to Jaguar E-Style

New Growler E 2011 is a concept car which was conceived by automotive designer from Vizualtech named Bo Zolland in collaboration with designer Robelt Palm. The presence of this new Growler E 2011 is a separate respect for the Jaguar E-Type, and at once this Growler E 2011 also represents the language of design brand that takes inspiration from the classic variants. Year 2011 is a special momentum for the legend of Jaguar E-Type to celebrate 50th anniversary. In 1961, the Jaguar E-type was premiered at the Geneva Motor Show.

This inspired Jaguar E-Type car variant which is named Growler E 2011 was developed according to the model of Jaguar XKR. This new Growler is powered by supercharged 5.0 Liter V8 delivering deliver 600 hp. The designers said, “Everyone doesn’t like the direction taken lately by Jaguar design, initiated by the Jaguar XF and confirmed by the new XJ. “
